Orbis is organizing an annual Blindfold Lunch again to enhance children’s eye-care awareness and concern for the visually impaired with the continuous and committed support from AXA Hong Kong. On April 14, around 100 students of Maryknoll Convent School (Primary Section) participated in the Blindfold Lunch, in the presence of Dr. Flora Lau, Orbis volunteer ophthalmologist, who clarified several common misconceptions regarding myopia and shared simple eye-care tips.

Schools are required to offer fruit and vegetables but many are wasted…Children with recess after lunch rush to finish so they can go out to play…Means they leave fruit and vegetables on their plate or throw them away…Recess before lunch means they take their time and eat more greens…

The rapid pace of life style in Hong Kong, with the children is also the same.
