A heated teacher/student debate, a punch above one's weight

Do teaching and learning stand opposite from each other, or is an alliance possible?

Lucretia, a last year A-level student who has taken up the study of Philosophy after failed in choosing her first priority. She cares nothing but only the GPA, unexpectedly, Lucretia meets the second year law student, Jeremy, who is actively participating in student movements.

Jeremy brings Lucretia to the school debating team which is organized by her professor, and shares with her the passion of joining student movements, they get close soon. Whilst taking part in a student movement, Jeremy is arrested. The professor has been challenged about his education, Lucretia gets into a heated debate with her professor, "Education cannot change the society! Education is just talking the talk!" Has the professor changed the student's mind or is it the other way round?

Two outstanding alumni of the Chinese University of Hong Kong – Candace Chong, four-time winner of the Best Script Award by the Hong Kong Drama Awards, and Chan Cheuk Wai Octavian, winner of the Award for Young Artist of the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards, join hands to create an original work which examines the vision and philosophy of university education, drawing inspirations from real-life challenges faced by the CUHK as it enters its 50th anniversary. Why did we establish an education institution in the first place, and what goals are we trying to achieve by getting educated?
