Eight Bad Habits Making Children Increasingly Stupid
Bad Habit #1: Always Full Up Contemporary studies of nutrition have found that being too full up after a big meal, the amount of a substance in the cerebrum called “fibroblast growth factor” will grow evidently. These fibroblast growth factors can lead to the increase of saturated fat in the endothelium of capillary, causing atherosclerosis. If one always eats too much, the likelihood of cerebral arteriosclerosis will definitely increase, leading to the deterioration of cerebrum and mental abilities. Bad Habit #2: Contempt for Breakfast Skipping breakfast will lead to blood sugar level lower than normal and the insufficient supply of nutrients to cerebrum, and is harmful to the cerebrum in the long run. In addition, the quality of breakfast is closely related to intellectual development. According to the findings of research, children who take high protein breakfast will have relatively longer period of best thinking state in class, while vegetarian children will have a relatively quicker drop of mood and energy. Bad Habit #3: Too Much Sweet The children who eat too much sweet usually have lower intellectual abilities. This is because the development of children brain relies much on the sufficient supply of protein and vitamin from food, but sweets will destroy appetite and decrease the intake of protein and multi-vitamin, leading to malnutrition which affects the growth of cerebrum. Bad Habit #4: Insufficient Sleep The main way to recover from fatigue of cerebrum is sleeping. Prolonged lack of sleep or poor quality of sleep will only speed up the decline of brain cells. Then even intelligent people can turn stupid. Bad Habit #5: Silence There is a lobe area on the cerebrum specially control language. Being talkative can enhance the growth of cerebrum and train its abilities; accurately speaking, talkative in the sense that the contents must be rich, philosophical and logical. A quiet and stern person is not necessarily intelligent. Bad Habit #6: Polluted Air Cerebrum is the bodily organ that has the highest consumption of oxygen; it consumes 500~600 liters of oxygen every minute on an average. Only sufficient oxygen supply can enhance the efficiency of the cerebrum. When we exercise our brain, we particularly need a learning environment with clean air. Bad Habit #7: Not Exercising the Brain Thinking is a way to exercise cerebrum. One will become more intelligent only when he/she frequently exercise his/her brain and think diligently. Conversely, not using the brain (not thinking) will only speed up the decline of the brain abilities. Then even intelligent people can turn stupid. Bad Habit #8: Using the Brain When Sick Not only will the grudging insistence of learning or working when one is not feeling well or is sick reduce efficiency, it will also likely cause damage of cerebrum.
