Harbour City has supported Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation since 2002 to raise funds during Christmas. This year, Harbour City collaborates with design collective “Communion W” again and invites renowned award-winning US Illustrator ANDY REMENTER to bring us a playful Christmas in December. ANDY REMENTER has set up Christmas decorations in Harbour City based on the theme of “HAPPY PLAYMAS”, and designed limited edition “HAPPY GO LUCKY” calendar and tote bag for Harbour City.

ANDY REMENTER is devoted to cartoon drawing, painting and animation. He has won different awards since graduating from The University of the Arts in 2004, including D&AD Pencil Award 2015 which is regarded as one of the annual major events in the world of design and advertising. His colorful and vibrant work has been widely featured in the media including The New York Times, MTV and Warner Brothers. He has worked with many brands to launch cross over products, such as Komono Watch in Belgium, LACOSTE T-shirt and Lazy Oaf T-shirt. He has also helped the Republic of San Marino in Italy to design a series of stamps about 3D printing.

“HAPPY PLAYMAS” Christmas Decorations & Limited Edition Gifts

“People Blocks” is one of the signature art pieces of ANDY REMENTER launched by Case Studyo in Belgium, which consists of four unique wooden characters entirely made and painted by hand. The individual pieces are interchangeable, allowing them to be re-assembled and stacked to create custom characters or abstract sculptures. “HAPPY PLAYMAS” Christmas decoration is the first interior design project of ANDY REMENTER. He has specially created Christmas “Block Characters” with newly added Snowman and Deer characters. The characters will be transformed into large sculptures of “HAPPY PLAYMAS” Christmas decorations.

Besides Christmas decorations, Harbour City and Communion W have also invited ANDY REMENTER to design limited edition “Harbour City x ANDY REMENTER” 2016 desktop calendar and tote bag. The design of the premiums are based on the proverb “HAPPY GO LUCKY”, wishing that everyone can “Embark on a new year with a fresh start!”, “Refresh your mood and stay happy!” and “Inject positive energy in your daily life!”. There is a special printed pattern on the wooden base of the calendar, and each of the 12-month cards come with one part of “Block Characters” to let you create your most favorite character. A colorful “Block Characters” memo pad will be also attached inside the calendar box set to bring more fun to your daily life.
