According to a new - and pretty depressing - study, researchers have shown for the first time that it's not just our own insecurities and aspirations that make us look longingly at our peers.

It’s increbible.Cold drinks is believed to dull tastebuds by reducing their sensitivity. The research team from University of Arkansas has found that sweet tastes are less intense when drinking iced drinks.  

The research team of Professor Amy H Herring, with PhD candidate, Samantha M Attard; professor Penny Gordon-Larsen; the reverend, William H Joyner, and Professor, Carolyn T Halpern which have the research to estimate the incidence of self-report of pregnancy without sexual intercourse (virgin pregnancy) and factors related to such reporting, in a population representative group of US adolescents and young adults.

Nicola Weller went to hospital for surgery to remove a tumour from her womb - before she had the operation a scan revealed she was pregnant. She was shocked as she had had the contraceptive coil fitted. Doctors discovered the pregnancy hormones had caused the tumour to disintegrate meaning she did not require any treatment for it. Baby Brandon was born completely healthy in September 2010.  There is still no sign of the tumour returning……
