Why do baby cry…

Newborn crying is unavoidable, it is baby’s instinct, that is one of their ways, they cry to communicate with their parents. Crying can help baby express their emotions from the heart, and sometimes this expression can reflect the discomfort of the baby, such as a wet diaper, hunger, need to be hold, hot or cold, windy belly and feeling sick. For the newly prospective parents, when dealing with their constantly crying baby, this can be very stressful. At first this may be difficult to grasp, but actually if parents pay more observation and patience, coupled with the care of the baby's experience increases, parents will soon understand what their baby needs and how to appease their emotions. The following are some simple analysis of the possible reasons for the baby crying;

Wet diaper- baby are quiet sensitive particularly to wet clothes, such as pee pee or poo poo is sure to be uncomfortable, so baby will not stop crying until their mother help them change into a clean diaper.

Hunger - the amount of feeding for new-born baby is approximately every 3 hours before the next feeding. Hunger in baby is a instinctive reaction and crying show that they need to have milk now.

Need to be hold - although baby did not know to express with words, but cry when need to be hold with their open arms at the same time, the is the sign when they really need someone to hold them tight and give them security and comfort.

Hot and cold - parents can try to feel their baby's back, hands or feet, to see if the baby is wearing appropriate clothing. If the baby is too warm, neck and back will be sweating, it means that too much clothing; if their have cold hands and feet that is mean to add more clothing. When the baby feels too cold or too hot at the same time, they will pass on this discomfort information to their parents by crying.

Windy belly - when baby is drinking milk, air will be inhaled at the same time, if the mother did not sweep out these winds which will remain in the stomach, baby will feel stomachache, and will lead to continuous crying. Clockwise circular motion massaging the stomach for the baby will help them discharge the wind out.

Sick – if baby do get sick, feeling very uncomfortable, of course, baby will cry for their mother. Mother should be conscious and pay special attention if their baby has symptoms such as fever, vomiting, skin rashes and so on. If severe and persistent crying abnormal, they should immediately seek treatment with their family doctor.
